Are you trapped in thought spirals?
Do you struggle with low self-esteem and find it hard to stop criticizing yourself? Are you overwhelmed by worry about all the things that could go wrong, no matter how big or small? Do you dwell on past events or get stuck analyzing why you feel the way you do?
Do social situations make you anxious, only to leave you agonizing over what you said or did afterward? Do you feel the need to plan for every possible contingency in order to maintain a sense of control? Do you often worry about your health and feel compelled to repeatedly check for symptoms or seek reassurance that you’re okay? Or do you get stuck in compulsive thoughts or rituals, even though you know they’re irrational?
There are many ways in which we can feel trapped by our own thoughts and emotions. It often feels like a constant battle—whether trying to control, analyze, or avoid them just to find relief.
But what if there is another way? A way of relating to your thoughts that allows you to regain freedom in your life—without the struggle and suffering. That is exactly what I can help you explore.
Psychotherapy
If you can relate to any of the descriptions above, I would like to help you move forward. I offer psychotherapy for adults and adolescents, focusing on breaking patterns of rumination, worry, and self-criticism. My approach is based on Metacognitive Therapy (MCT), which you can read more about below.
I have experience treating people with a wide range of problems, including depression, stress, social anxiety, panic disorder, health anxiety, generalized anxiety, and trauma/PTSD.
Therapy is tailored to your needs and is often short-term. Sometimes just a few sessions are enough, while in other cases, more are needed. My goal is for you to experience positive change as quickly as possible and for you to feel that you no longer need therapy. My practice is located at Odenplan in Stockholm, and I offer evening and weekend appointments.
About
metacognitive therapy
Metacognitive Therapy (MCT) is a modern psychotherapeutic approach that is designed to help you break free from unhelpful thinking patterns and their associated emotions, and regain control over your thoughts. Instead of focusing on what you think, MCT shifts attention to how you respond to and manage your thoughts.
When experiencing anxiety or depression, thoughts can feel overwhelming and difficult to control, making it easy to get stuck in negative cycles of worry, rumination, or self-criticism. These patterns often intensify emotional distress.
Through MCT, you learn to break these cycles. The goal is to develop new ways of relating to your thoughts and emotions, reduce worry and rumination, and regain control over where you direct your mental energy.
This approach has shown promising results in treating generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), social anxiety, depression, and health anxiety. Research also suggests that its positive effects tend to last longer compared to other common treatment methods.
If you feel like your thoughts control you more than you control them, metacognitive therapy may be a powerful step toward greater well-being. Contact me to learn more about how I can support you on your journey.

About me
I am a licensed psychologist with many years of experience working with both adults and children of all ages, in both specialized psychiatry and primary care. Today, I work at a healthcare center (vårdcentral) and run this private practice.
In my work, I value close collaboration with my clients, where we explore new ways of managing thoughts and emotions together. I aim to create a relaxed and casual atmosphere where you can be yourself. I want you to feel safe in the process and confident that the treatment is tailored to your needs. I only take on a very limited number of clients at a time, in order to ensure that I can give every treatment my full attention. I am very comfortable speaking English.
My private practice allows me to offer psychological treatment without some of the limitations that can exist in public healthcare, such as long waiting times or inflexible treatment plans. Here, we can focus on what matters most to you, at a pace that suits you.
